Publisher Description
The II V I Chord sequence is the most commonly used sequence in both jazz and many other styles of music. Mostly used from the Major Key it is the 2nd 5th & 1st chords in sequence. It is used so much simply because we like the sound it makes and it occurs at the beginning of sections of music, at the end and in the middle. So we need to know as many ways to use it as possible and this course will help you start.

Surprise yourself. You can improvise !
this book takes a very common chord sequence that exists accross many styles and genres of music, the 2, 5, 1 and uses these chords as a basis for learning the basics of improvisation. You may read this book and find that the basics just click in to place. Its that sort of learning aid. You will no doubt as why no one ever explained it to you in that way. I use it alongside some of the author’s other work.I like the way I can go back to his books as easy reference guides and dip in and out over time to remind myself.
