Inside Her Mind

They say the light is more powerful when it emerges from the darkness. So, I guess I will show you the darkest of my thoughts first and in the future I will show you my light.

My life has not been easy, at 8 years old my life changed and the world has been pitch black ever since. This book of poems reflects what I truly want to say when someone asks me "how are you"? It reflects how I see the world and touches on things that I wish I could change. Inside my mind is an intense place to be in, but it's not all bad because sometimes there is a flicker of light and I am happy for a while.

Of course it goes dark again but I'm never afraid of the dark as I was the previous time because I know, when I find the strength I will get up and turn the light back on again.
