The Daughter I Let Go

A baby girl. Two women who love her. One impossible decision.

Raised in care and trapped in an abusive relationship, nineteen-year-old Michelle is certain her newborn daughter deserves better than the life she can offer. So she makes the most heartbreaking decision of all and lets baby Grace go.

For Amelia, Grace feels like a miracle. After years of loss and longing, she finally dares to believe she can be a mother. But when Michelle begins to rebuild her life and fights to bring Grace home, Amelia’s fragile happiness is threatened.

As a custody battle looms, buried secrets and painful truths force both women to confront what motherhood really means – and how much they are willing to sacrifice for the child they love.

An emotional and unforgettable novel about motherhood, loss, resilience and hope. Perfect for readers of Jodi Picoult, Jojo Moyes and Kristin Hannah.
