Jesus, Where the Hell Were You When I Needed You

Story of one man that has dodged the bullet more times than he can remember. Starting out as an abused child on a small farm in Michigan then off to a combat tour of Vietnam. Then returning to world he no longer recognized and turned to alcohol to try to numb the pain and keep his demons at bay. Years of alcohol abuse led to the loss of jobs, his marriage and eventually to a life in the streets and jail. He was raised a fundamental Christian and always heard that God could cure anything so he tried countless times to be a follower of Jesus Christ only to find it seriously wanting. He even became an ordained minister thinking that would surely cure him but only left him more depressed and disillusioned. He had to get beaten down and emptied out until he had no place left to go but to seek out help in AA and start on his own path to finding peace.
