Junk Medicine

Junk Medicine is the true story of Tom Gray, a successful anesthesiologist who appears to be living the dream. Except on the inside, where it counts, his dream has become a nightmare. A casual romance with red wine has metastasized into an abusive relationship with an assortment of narcotics, and Tom is desperate to escape.

Every escape route ends up a dead end, though, until Tom is arrested in Texas with a trunkful of THC. He has many other secrets, but getting busted with this much marijuana is one that will be too big to keep to himself, so instead of coming clean, he decides to walk away from everything, before they make him run.

Except he can’t. Because as Dr. Gray discovers, the drink and the drugs aren’t his problem, they’re just the symptoms, and if he wants to finally find freedom, he’ll have to do what no outlaw ever really wants to—he’ll have to be honest.
