Kapai and the Frozen Treasure

Its holiday time, but Kapai the kiwi is bored. He has nothing to do and no one to play with. He tries to learn to fly so he can join the other birds, but his fruitless efforts bring him to the attention of Tane Mahuta, the mightiest tree in the forest. Tane sends Kapai on a special mission, one that takes him to the glaciers to find a mysterious treasure that has been frozen there for many years
