A good story
This is quite a sweet story. Bella first met Jeremy when she came to Glacier Falls to visit her grandfather as a child, and she had a crush on him. Now she was a singer with a band, but was back in Glacier Falls to help her grandfather sort out his effects, ready to move into sheltered housing, he wasn’t really able to look after himself any more. She reconnected with Jeremy, now a fire officer when her he called to check on her grandfather, the fire service had been called to several instances at his home. They had very quickly fallen in love with each other, although they both thought it was too early in their relationship to say so. A famous actress lives in Glacier Falls, Stephanie Starz, and she and Bella met at Christmas, and Steph heard her singing. She was about to start work on a new film, a musical, and arranged for Bella to go with her and have a few auditions. Now they were back, and Bella was booked for a starring role in the film with Steph, as well as a lot of singing, that she needed to record beforehand, for early publicity; and she now had an agent and a publicist.
Of course, she is going to be away for several months making the film and all that entails, and Jeremy is about to be promoted to Fire Chief, his dream job. Steph tells Bella she should avoid distractions, to make the most of her opportunities, and she gets concerned about her relationship with Jeremy. There are many twists and turns before they work out their differences.
A well thought through story with with well rounded characters, most of whom we have met in earlier books in the series. And the clues are there for another three stories. There is something comforting about reading and getting to know a whole group of friends! Well worth reading. 4.5 stars. I received a copy of this book from the author and am pleased to write an honest review. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
