King Robert the Bruce

King Robert the Bruce is a biographical book by Scottish writer Alexander Falconer Murison. First published in 1899 as part of a series on famous Scottish people, the book looks at the life of Robert I, who was the King of Scotland from 1306 up until his death in 1329. One of the most renowned warriors, King Robert led Scotland during the First War of Scottish Independence against England, and took part in William Wallace's revolt against Edward I. This book takes us from his ancestry, to his coronation, and his exile, and includes details on battles such as Bannockburn and Kildrummy.
