Not bad
The characters are understandable and hate-able so quite realistic, but I never found myself actively rooting for them. The tone and pace of the story match the setting perfectly. I like how there’s always tension in different ways but it doesn’t feel monotonous. In terms of the plot, what I assume were twists were largely predictable or obvious. The ending feels more like an actual end (a sad but realistic one) than a cliffhanger. Don’t feel the need to read the next book.
:SPOILERS:
I didn’t really see Milly-Minseo as big of a plot point as it was shown. Nor the point of introducing Mina. I wish Milly appeared more often and was emotionally closer to Charlotte (like them spending time with each other) in the last chapters so that her betrayal was more shocking. I don’t have a reason why but I wish Charlotte and Young were 18-20 years old. I don’t know much about them, but I liked the reference to Arthur and Camelot.
