'Could very well be the debut of the year' - Fantasy Book Review

Clay Cooper and his band were once the best of the best - the meanest, dirtiest, most feared and admired crew of mercenaries this side of the Heartwyld.

But their glory days are long past; the mercs have grown apart and grown old, fat, drunk - or a combination of the three. Then a former bandmate turns up at Clay's door with a plea for help: his daughter Rose is trapped in a city besieged by an enemy horde one hundred thousand strong and hungry for blood. Rescuing Rose is the kind of impossible mission that only the very brave or the very stupid would sign up for.

It's time to get the band back together for one last tour across the Wyld.

LOOK OUT FOR BLOODY ROSE, THE SECOND BOOK IN THE BAND SERIES:

'Bloody Rose solidifies what Kings of the Wyld proved. Eames writes like a hurricane and has a voice like no one else in this genre' - Sam Sykes

High fantasy meets Terry Pratchett

The Saga mercenary team is getting back together and going on tour one last time. It’s old leader Gabriel has discovered that his daughter, Rose, is beseiged in the city Castia surrounded by 100 thousand monsters. He is determined to resuce her but to do that he needs the old team back together and they will need to make new friends and settle some old scores to get to Castia. Then they just have to fight the beseiging monster army...

This is a fast moving adventure story that never lets up. It’s written in a humorous style more akin to Terry Pratchett than serious Epic Fantasy which makes it very easy to read and enjoy but there is death and some epic fights.

Overall it is an enjoyable light-hearted romp. Recommended.
