The author wrote many books on different aspects of life in morocco and this one is more of an average day and history type. It starts with describing the author’s first steps onto Moroccan soil and the details through various writings the various aspects of life in the area. It is a fantastic historical view and offers insight into a time not familiar to most people. It is a journey that you will not soon forget and the visions brought forth by the author are vivid and clear.

The author is an expert on the area and has also written about many social aspects not often covered during that period of time. The style is easy to read and easy to digest making the book a must have for any world travel fan and history buffs. As the author moves you through towns and areas, the descriptions are vivid and memorable. It is a great time piece. During the early 1900’s Morocco was a source of mystery and adventure and the author carries that mystic well.
