Louis and Zelie Martin

Family life is built on relationships between spouses and their children. The Martins experienced joys, tragedies, illness, wartime hardship and bereavements, but their ordinary family life was rooted in faith, prayer and love. Christ strengthens them to give valuable fruits. Their daughter, Thérèse of Lisieux is one of the world's best known saints, and her siblings all followed vocations to religious life. This married couple, canonised saints in October 2015, gives courage to families to seek the love that enables them to serve God and neighbour.
