GROWING UP. FALLING IN LOVE. COMING OUT.
Frankie is nearly fourteen and teenage life certainly comes with its ups and downs. Her mum is seriously ill with MS and Frankie can feel herself growing up quickly, no thanks to Sally and her gang of bullies at school.
When Sally turns out to be not-so-mean after all, they strike up a friendship and are suddenly spending all of their time together.
But Frankie starts to wonder whether these feelings she has for Sally are stronger than her other friendships. Might she really be in love?
Frankie doesn't want Sally to just be her friend. She wants her to be her girlfriend. But does Sally feel the same?
The must-have new novel about falling in love for the first time from bestselling, much-loved children's author, Jacqueline Wilson.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
When you’re 13, life can feel tough, but Frankie is carrying a lot more on her plate than a normal teenager. She’s a carer to her chronically ill mum, is a target for the mean girls at school, hates her dad’s new girlfriend and is struggling to understand her sexuality. Charming next-door neighbour and best friend Sam is clearly in love with her, but her feelings don’t reciprocate. Instead Frankie seems to be falling for the one person she was sure she hated—Sally. Full of relatable moments, Love Frankie is an accessible coming-of-age novel which centres on the LGBTQ+ experience of a first relationship. Jacqueline Wilson does what she does best by creating multi-dimensional characters in a story of love, loss and friendship.

Agree with Maria issom
For once I agree with Maria and by the way I read wild magic it is so awesome 😎
Amazing!
This book was well written and absolutely amazing. It shows the struggles of Frankie, a tween girl, just starting to put the pieces together off who she really is and who she might like. It’s an amazing book showcasing friendship, drama and romance. Spoiler ahead!! But I really wanted to find out more about Frankie and sally’s relationship, the book ended on such a cliff hanger. I wonder if they still love each other or have moved on completely…
