Fantastic
Book 1 in new series Second Skin by Ophelia Bell
Maddox (Mad Dog) is a ex navy now a tattoo artist in a rough area of LA that is run by cartels.
Papa Flores runs the world surrounding Maddox and his family but he hasn’t been messed up with him since he was a kid.
Celeste is the daughter of papa Flores and runs his properties. After papa Flores hurts a love interest for getting too close she can’t let herself get too close to Leo one of her bodyguards.
I won’t lie I wasn’t sure I’d 100% love this like all her other book but I should have trust in the queen of dragons to deliver me a amazing book.
This is heavily based around the American-Mexican cartel which I don’t know much about other then what I’ve watched in movies so it’s nice to see this family and loyalty side but still with the gritty stuff.
Absolutely loved this and can not wait till next book.
This is first book in a long time that’s kept me awake and when I did go to sleep I woke up in night desperate to carry on.

This is yet another excellent book by this author. It is well written and the characters and story are well developed. I love the individual character personalities and seeing their relationship dynamics grow and evolve. The story is full of suspense, intrigue, emotion, hot chemistry and romance. I’d highly recommend this book!! I look forward to future books in this series!!

A triangle/ménage, whatever you call it.
A tattooist, an enforcer that both have feelings for Celeste. But Mad Dog also has feelings for Leo the enforcer!
It’s an engrossing read.
And I did have to wonder how this would play out.
