Master of Uncertainty

Ready to enter a seminary in New York, Mark Acanth discovers that he could be a promised messiah for a society secreted in the folds of the Catholic Church -- the Hierarchy. But after unwittingly failing their tests, Mark is imprisoned only to be rescued by another group who claim to be the opposition to the Hierarchy in a looming global war. With them, Mark begins having flashbacks of the past, proving that he may be more than anyone had previously thought. Why does he suddenly have the ability to predict the future? Why is he now able to control the principles of chaos and uncertainty? Why do they call him their Halcyon while they assist him in evading the Hierarchy? And finally, when Mark gradually learns his true identity, what will he ultimately decide to do when he discovers he can trust no one, not even himself?
