Mattie's Legacy

The year is 1865 and war has ravaged the country but for Mattie life has always been a war of survival on the docks of New Orleans where she was born to an Irish immigrant.  The day comes when Mattie must escape the docks or die at the hands of a murderer with only her wits, will, and a bit of stolen silver she makes her way across a war torn country on not knowing what she find or if she will survive all she knows for sure is that there is no other choice.
