You could pass without it
The book does what it says on the tin, it's a 136 page book with 199 example exam questions, the problem is that it has a few flaws. Let's start with the positive the questions are structured like they are in the 70-680 exam, unlike Microsofts own tests questions which are not, this really does help as you will learn how MS want you to answer things.
The key problem is that the book does not really explain the answers to questions. For instance it will ask you question about compressing an image within imagex i.e. which command would you use, in this case it would be scanstate with the compression flag . The explanation for the answer then proceeds to explain what scanstate is rather then what the compression command actually does and why it's correct . To be fair the book sometimes does hit things right on the nail.
The book also seems to be structured around the official 70-680 MS training kit, sometimes even taking question explanations directly from the book itself word for word.
I think if it was around £5 or £8 then it might be a better buy, your not going to pass with this on it's own as it seems like someone has taken then time look through something like braindump and read the 70-680 training kit, then combine it into a book. To be fair the book will point you in the right direction on what parts of the 70-680 requirements you need to work on.
