Making dynamic use of perspective and scale, Ottley shows the boy's father laughing as a skyscraper-high sandcastle tumbles down on him, flexing his bicep while a surging wave threatens to swallow him up, and confidently swimming amid transparent jellyfish to unhook a fishing line.
