The stories I didn’t know I needed!
My review is for - Baby, It’s Cold Outside - Giana Darling
What a treat Giana has for us with ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’. If you have read ‘Bad Dream’ (the free prequel novella for ‘Dangerous Temptation’) you will know Elena makes an appearance as Tiernan’s lawyer, but this read takes us back to when Elena and Tiernan first met.
Told entirely from Elena’s POV, I was giddy with excitement, as I am always greedy for more from previous characters.
From this short story, we get to know how Elena became Tiernan’s lawyer and although he enters mysteriously, catching her off guard. She quickly shows her ‘Queen’ nature.
Elena and Tiernan are very much the same characters and I liked the comparison between them. They are the black sheep of the family, they want to be more than people perceive them, they want to escape their fathers and they share a connection I hope is explored some more.
Don’t worry, Elena is never far from her Dantè and Giana gives us everything we love about this dominant, possessive male with a little Christmas surprise thrown in.
