Men and Martinis

It might sound crazy—it is crazy, actually—but I’ve just left everything I’ve ever known to start a new job and a new life in New York City.

I wasn’t running away from anything, not really. More like running to something—only I didn’t know what that was. Now I think it might have been him.

CJ.

CJ of the all-American football god good looks and million-watt smile. CJ, who I work with at my shiny new job and therefore should not—cannot—date. CJ, who makes me want to follow him around just for a chance to be near him, a chance to talk to him…

I can’t help it. I want CJ. And this won’t make any sense to you, but the worst part is—he wants me, too.

Luckily, I’ve got a solid squad of girls here to distract me by showing me around my new city. And they’ve got enough going on to help me keep my mind off CJ. Most of the time, at least.

But even with the girls running me ragged through the streets of New York, dragging me to parties and showing me the ropes in my new home, I can’t get CJ out of my head.
