Brilliant very short read for anyone
This book can be read in a day and it is so worth it. Personally I see it as both a tale of unrequited gratitude and devotion, but also as a political statement. I think Gregor felt like he was an outlier in the world, and slowly but surely everybody around him changed, yet he was the only thing to remain constant. The irony in the story of course being that the world made Gregor feel like he was changing for the worse, into a gruesome creature that no longer bore any resemblance with the Gregor of a old.
