Good read

Thought provoking read regarding the supposed appeasing of Hitler.
At what stage do you declare war on another country?
Even today you would try all negotiation to avoid conflict.

Good read.

Very interesting and well-written take on the intentions and beliefs of MacMillan when he met with Hitler. Added intrigue between minor officials on each side provides the unknown quantity. I enjoyed it.

Absorbing

I am not a historian, but was tempted to buy this novel following a trip to Berlin. I have no idea how closely this follows the facts & what is from the author’s imagination. This is testament to the quality of the work, which takes a historical event & known outcomes, but engages the reader throughout.
