Brilliant book
This is a wonderful & gentle book to read, I couldn't put it down. The main characters of father & son are just so touching. A must have book!

I'm an iranian girl who's heard bits and bobs of what has happened in Iran after the shah from different people. From fundamentalists at school to the left it's and rightist and even my own parents and their friends experiences who are around same age as kader abdolah at current. But nothing has come to the fact as what he has said in this book and I think he's got a very sad story to tell but also I think this story is specially written for my generation who needs to know its history of what's happened and also need to take all this troubles and clear all the mistakes of its past generation. I'm so glad to know that there's such a smart and talented writer such as him out there who can put his complicated past into simple word for us to understand. I totally recommend this book to Iranians to anybody that likes to know what happened
specially now that everyone sees Iran with a different eye. This book is a treasure!!!
