My Home That Lies Beyond the Mist
Publisher Description
On the beautiful bright sunny Sunday morning of February, 17, 2013, my spouse, Alana Nicole Sholar, drifted into a nap while lying on our couch. A common occurrence. A short time later Alana woke herself shouting into ‘the darkness.’
She sat up, shaking, and with intensity grabbed her laptop and began furiously typing. About an hour later she took in a deep breath, let it out, and excitedly handed her laptop toward me, “Here it is,” she said, “I’ve finished,” and as she did I could see her shaking with emotion and tear filled eyes.
“Oh my God,” I exclaimed as I took the laptop from her hands, “Why are you so emotional? What is this?”
“It’s the dream I just had. I had to get it out of my head, through my fingertips, and into the laptop.”
When I finished reading I, too, was very emotional and had tears running down my cheeks.
This short story, “My Home That Lies Beyond the Mist,” is the dream Alana dreamed on this bright sunny Sunday morning.
