Heart breaking
As a mother myself to 4 children it’s took a long time to get through this book.
I have cried so much for baby James and what he went through also the family, I couldn’t even start to imagine what they went through.
A very emotional book to read.
The people that have the power to to the right thing should be held accountable. The law is supposed to protect the innocent and punish the criminal. Why let evil walk among the innocent. God bless James.

Heart wrenching account that I remember happening when I was 10 years old, the same age as the killers were back in 93.
Just recently after finding out back in feb this year that venables has been sent back to prison for the second time after the brutal murder that he and that other monster carried out didn’t at all come as a surprise to me that he would reoffend and not in any way shape or form be rehabilitated.
Have followed the updates over the years since it happened and have been honored to have read the book by his father out of respect. It’s a privilege to all of us for Ralph and James’s mum to of let the world into their life’s and express their grief about this horrific act that took their beautiful son away. I can’t imagine what it must of been like and also to of written this beautiful, yet gut wrenching story about a beautiful boy, the monsters that did it and the shame of our legal system.
