Two strangers. One apartment.
Will it be love at first . . . bite?
Cassie Greenberg needs a new place to live, and fast. When she finds an affordable apartment in a beautiful neighbourhood, she knows there must be a catch.
Of course, her new roommate Frederick J. Fitzwilliam is far from normal. He sleeps all day, is out at night on business, and talks like he walked out of a regency romance novel.
He is also leaves Cassie heart-melting notes around the apartment, always asks about her day, and doesn't look half bad shirtless on the rare occasions they're both home and awake.
There's no denying there's a spark between them - but there's also a secret. . .
With true love at stake, will Frederick come clean?

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
In this lighthearted rom-com, a struggling artist named Cassie is forced to become roommates with a stranger named Frederick J. Fitzwilliam. Yes, Frederick loves Cassie’s art, leaves sweet handwritten notes and talks like he just walked out of a Jane Austen novel, but he also leaves bags of blood in the fridge. Jenna Levine puts a really fun spin on the vampire romance genre—we loved watching Cassie help Frederick acclimate to life in the 21st century. (His online searches made us laugh out loud.) If you ever wondered what Mr. Darcy might be like if he were undead, check out My Roommate Is a Vampire.
Customer Reviews
Great book overall!
I really enjoyed the book, and I felt that Frederick’s character was well-written and Cassie was very relatable! The book was super funny and witty.
My only issue is with the ending of the book which I felt ended a bit vague and rushed!
Vampires for Halloween anyone?!
I love a book with a vampire theme, whether dark and gory or cute and fun. This one fell into the latter category and was a quick, easy-going read.
Frederick is our vampire, and he simply doesn’t have a clue. He doesn’t have a clue how to dress in the twenty-first century; he doesn’t know how to order a cup of coffee and doesn’t know anything about the internet at all!
Cassie and Frederick made me laugh throughout the book. Between them, they get up to all sorts of scrapes and somehow have to rectify them, which usually gets them into even more trouble! One of my favourite parts was when Cassie was trying to teach Frederick about Instagram and he wasn’t understanding why people take so many pictures of food! I completely agree with him. But yet I still do this, almost every time I sit down to a meal!
I really hope there is a sequel to this, I'd love to find out what Cassie decides to do in the future.
Thank you to #acrossthepondbookclub for choosing My Roommate is a Vampire by Jenna Levine as September’s book to read.
So original
This book contains so many wonderfully conflicting elements that never end to surprise the reader. The initial bulk of letters exchanged will bring tears of laughters to anyone. The conceit is in essence not only unusual but rich of situations where an attraction between a vampire and a human will make any reader a bit uncomfortable about the risk of some happenings. Fully engaging and out of the ordinary.
