This electronic Geography text book is designed for children of Years 1 and 2 and complies with the requirements of the new Geography Programmes of Study. It emphasizes the key areas of Locational Knowledge, Place Knowledge and Scale by starting with a local (school) investigation, and gradually moving into nearby areas and beyond to other parts of the UK. There are also field work suggestions for both the physical and human environment.


The book offers students and teachers a range of interesting, interactive geographical-related activities that encourage inquiry and investigation. At the same time, it encourages 21st Century learning experiences such as cooperative learning and team investigation. 


There are a number of review activities and a revision test at the end. The book is best used as a student resource with teacher guidance and support.
