APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Courageous, damaged and spiky, D.I. Marnie Rome is one of British crime fiction’s most engaging new protagonists. She’s a character we’re thrilled to get closer to—and the second book in Sarah Hilary’s series delivers. As she investigates the desperate plight of two young brothers trapped in a subterranean bunker, Rome’s harrowing past comes back to haunt her. No Other Darkness delves deeper and deeper into the awful truth, threatening to take Rome down with it. It’s dark and moving—and kept us guessing until the very end.

Brilliant.
Even better than the first book. So heartbreaking.***spoiler*** Empathy not hate, it's actually really clever how in the end you just feel for everyone involved. I've had to get the next book!
