Cornwall based Private Investigator, Ed Case, gets his first assignment from an unlikely source. Pandora, an old friend and exotic dancer he once worked with in Soho, wants him to find her friend and colleague, Jade Wickham. Jade went missing and Pandora believes the police are not taking matters seriously and fears for her friend's life.
Ed teams up with Detective Sergeant Holt, the officer looking into the disappearance of Jade and six other women working in the sex industry in London. Holt's believes the women he is investigating is likely to be the tip of a very large iceberg. Holt's resources are stretched and, despite reservations, is quick to realise Ed's belligerence and scant regard for the law, could be an asset in moving the investigation forward.
As Ed and Holt close the net on the gang responsible for the disappearances, their lives are put in danger as they pit their wits against Agron Kastrati, one of London's most ruthless gangsters, with terrifying consequences.
