Nomenclature and Classification

The basic taxonomy for mineral classification was presented in Chapter 2. In this chapter we will examine systems of classification of minerals using this terminology. Several common classification schemes are examined including: The Dana numbering system, the Strunz classification scheme, and a structural classification system.
