Notes & Quotes from Matthew Henry's Commentary on Nehemiah

Nehemiah is a wonderful book. He was first of all, faithful. Then, he was bold. Then when his mission reached its inception, he was focused and well-organized. He didn’t fear men.

This book is a collection of Notes & Quotes from his study of Nehemiah. I’ve included all the “Notes” he inserted into almost every chapter and great quotes on many subjects that are timeless.


This is a private project of Kevin A. Cox (kevinacox@gmail.com. I’m working on publishing notes and quotes of all the Old Testament books. I’ve completed compiling the notes from all but a few books.


The format is to double or triple space the notes to set them off for better reflection by the reader. MH should be read slowly many times or you’ll miss what he’s saying.
