Inspiring, I loved it.
I bought this book when it was first released, having always admired Bernie and loved her music for many years, as well as her acting work.
I simply loved it from the minute I turned the first page. Her deep Irish voice and hearty laugh, calls out to you from the pages
I recently picked it back up again and have probably read it 3 or 4 times in the past 6 months. There is something so warm and comforting about this book, you feel that Bernie is a cherished friend.
She was the woman you wish you knew and the woman we all aspire to be. Full of fun, hilarious, a real party girl. Insanely talented, a real grafter with an unwavering work ethic.
A sheer love and passion for music, and performing, throughout her body.
Singing was never just a job or career, it was her whole life.
Bernie’s story is honest and real. She talks about love and her gorgeous family, a proud wife and mum, her heroes are her husband and daughter. Still she doesn’t shy away from giving you the grim reality of fighting cancer and the cruel and harsh realities that came with that.
But don’t for one minute think it’s a depressing read. Although naturally devastating at parts, it radiates positivity the whole way through, and inspires you to live every single day with gratitude, courage and determination to appreciate every moment we have.
Amazing heartfelt autobiography
A truly inspirational story, heartbreaking as well as heartwarming. Such a full amazing life that was tragically cut short. Bernie Nolan was truly a beautiful women inside and out. Fantastic read would recommend
