Publisher Description
In the early 1880's, John Ballou Newbrough, an American dentist, found himself compelled to write a sacred text. Forces beyond his understanding took control of him and through automatic writing he composed a "new Bible." The 900 page plus book with mystical hieroglyphics and other illustrations was the Oahspe. It expanded on Christian thought and included wisdoms from nonWestern religions. This is the bulky, unabridged, original 1882 edition in facsimile known as the "Green" version. It has none of the later editorial revisions. It is enhanced by an index created by the publisher in the 20th century.
