Omit last chapter
As others have commented, the additional last chapter really ruins the end of this book. The end of the previous chapter is much more satisfying.
Too clever by half
I gave up a third of the way through. It takes you a while to understand that the narrative is vignette of individual stories that loosely connect together. Along with the long sentence structures the book is not an enjoyable read. Lesson learnt is to read some of the reviews to learn more about the book.
A CURATES EGG
Some of the stories were quite good, others seemed pretty pointless, the worst being the last story, which rambled on and then just ended, without ending! Not a book will be bothering with again.
