A young man who’s desperate to fall in love may finally get his wish in this swoon-worthy read from Julia Quinn. Gregory Bridgerton is dead-set on marrying for love. So when he meets the beautiful Hermione Watson, he more or less decides right then that she’s the one…even though Hermione’s totally not interested, and he actually has better chemistry with her BFF, Lucy Abernathy. The romantic game of musical chairs that follows is a sweet, yearning delight. We loved watching Gregory and Lucy slowly develop the warmth of trust, friendship, and yes, budding romance, all while she’s supposed to be helping him win over Hermione. Between the two friends sorting out their feelings and Gregory finding a way to intercede in Lucy’s arranged marriage, the suspense of the story’s climax had our hearts near bursting. If you’re new to the Bridgerton series, you won’t regret starting it here.

Lovely
Similar to in The Viscount Who Loved Me, Lucy is not the most desired woman and is incredibly overlooked.
Hers and Gregory’s story is so nice to read but I also found myself screaming internally begging them to realise each other’s brilliance!
The ending is exciting and fast-paced and I was on the edge of my seat reading it - despite there being a very good change it would work out - as I truly wasn’t sure what would happen.
It had a huge twist that I definitely didn’t see coming but it was so satisfying when you get to the end and such a perfect way for their story to finish.

This book is A LOT
like the end !!!!!
Though I feel like I would have enjoyed it better if I read this one last as I think it would have felt more right if that makes sense.
I don’t mean read all the books I’m order because I’m just picking an choosing myself but I feel like with this one it should be read last as it explores how Gregory wants something like his siblings romances therefore to read it as the third book in the series (like me) I feel like it takes away from feeling his need I guess- probably not need maybe mindset as all his siblings have found “the one” and he’s just waiting around expecting it to happen and I feel like I just can’t grasp that because I have only read like two of the books 😭😭😭😭😭
Anyway was a bit chaotic and it was very much giving me stress throughout but I feel like that defines a good book.
I hope that helped as I kind of would have liked some warning to leave this ONE till last. Or who knows maybe that’s just me ✨
