In business circles, Robert "Rob" Dumont is known for being cutthroat and demanding. And it's true. He thrives on challenges. Taking the family-owned restaurant chain to the next level is his passion.
When his sister's marriage implodes, he heads back to New York, to be there for her and his niece. These are his only two priorities: growing the business and taking care of his family.
His new neighbor is a temptation he hadn't counted on. Skye Winchester is bold, sensual and he just can't keep his distance. But once he touches her, he wants more. He wants to worship her all night long.
As a business owner herself, Skye's got enough on her plate. Rob was expecting her to run in the opposite direction when she realizes how complicated his life is. Instead, she does the opposite: making his sister laugh, charming his niece… She completely wins him over.
But how can they hold on to each other when neither expected their attraction to turn into a deep connection?
Really good series
I love the Winchester family, how they all support one another and all around each other.
The story is about Skye and how she helps sell her nbrs house and along comes Robert Dumont. Tough CEO that doesn’t take no for an answer.
I loved how both of them fell for each other and how he supported her with her anxiety over relationships due to her dad leaving her mum at such an early age and then how she was supportive of him as he put his family needs before his own and they adapted with each other and supported each other.
Such a lovely escapism of real life and just absorb in there story. Love Layla Hagen books. Have been since falling into reading the Bennett series.
This is another really good series and definitely a book to take you away from the real world.
Cute family love story
What I love most about Layla’s books are how they represent real life (except for these amazing men! Haha) Work and family stuff sometimes makes dating hard but Robert and Skye have a connection from the start and work hard to make things work. Robert is thoughtful and caring and they both fall hard and fast. Layla’s writing quickly makes you love the characters and become wrapped up in their world. I love that you get to see different family members throughout which is what I love about these series. A great little escape read.
