Just like watching the TV show
I loved the TV show, which turned out to be very faithful to the book, so what can I say? Read it.
Brilliant
Totally loose yourself in this fabulous book as you follow Claire from the ending of 2nd world war and trying to rebuild a marriage where both her and Crank have changed through their experiences of the war and then whilst on a long past due honeymoon and Claire’s ‘disappearance’ and how she learns to live (and survive!) using her wits and considerable caring and empathic nature. This is a story of love through time and the need to be a strong person to get through the different challenges. Great book!!!!
Great book
Tantalising, captivating and flowing; Diana captured Scottish history in a way that makes you wish you had thought of it yourself first. As a Scot, I immensely enjoyed reading of our history entwined with a passionate love story.
