Before becoming an author, I would stay silent on many things in life such as the bullying I endured or my struggles with mental health. I always had a gift but didn't know how to use it up until I morphed into a professional. I was scared to speak my mind because I was afraid of how the world would perceive me. I didn't want anyone treating me a certain way. I did my best to play my part and keep things zipped until I realized how destructive people pleasing was.
