Partisan and Patriot

Harry is a savant with an encyclopedic memory. His gift has a price. Emotional peaks and personality variations are learned just as quickly and he does not control when or what he remembers. His recall is triggered by necessity; he may recall a language because he needs to speak it or a personality because it is who he needs to be at that moment. He experiences profound personality variations, can be unstable and behave unpredictably.

Thirty years ago his country betrayed him and his family paid with their lives. Since then he has made a living bottom feeding on the chaos left by the failure of the Soviet Bloc. The world's Intelligence organizations fear he might be used against them but pay him to do what they can't. They would kill him if they could but hire him when necessary without concern for the contradiction. He is an old spy for hire who has survived past his time.
