The economic times of the 1990s caused Mary, the main character, to embark
On her own journey upon the suggestion of a so called spiritual friend. Mary finds her-
Self in a dark foreboding home in South Carolina where she is greeted by a woman
Who is quite unusual and is also greeted by a man named Ben who rescues her. She
Is not only exposed to belief systems but also she exposes charlatans in a whimsical
Fashion. She reminds all of us how we are tested at some point in our lives and how
Our fears cause pathways never to be crossed.
