Devon Lancaster had never completed any of the major endeavors he had embarked on in his life. His doctorate in anthropology, his black belts in Akido and Karate had all remained unfinished. He was an unlikely hero yet he found himself on a distant world expected to led the human inhabitants to victory in a war against the octopus like invaders that had discovered a way to conquer the surface. The struggle with the octopi would only serve as a prelude to the greater war between twin brothers from a planet that had perished long before the Earth was formed.
