The client’s brief was to transform this dilapidated semi-detached house into a contemporary family home.


The property was extended to the rear and side to create a large open plan kitchen, dining and living space, as well as new utility and cloakroom at ground level. The use of large glazed walls and sliding doors at the rear visually connected the interior to a paved seating area and eye catching yet low maintenance garden. The house was fully refurbished across all floors to create a master bedroom and ensuite, 3 further bedrooms and second bathroom. The front of the house retained the original  look with the new windows matching the existing style. In contrast at the rear the brickwork was rendered and the ground floor facade opened up to create a modern architectural statement.
