Publisher Description
Pepe doesn't know who he really is nor where he came from. The farther back he tries to remember, the weirder it gets. He only knows he has to take care of his "sister" Po. It's not his natural sister, they look too different for that. Their grandmother died in the slum fire, in which Pepe and Po barely escaped with their lives. Now they're on their own, living in an abandoned construction site with other homeless kids. Pepe's best friend is a drug addict.
All the while, floating magnetic trains fly overhead and a popular cafe that looks like a disco ball floats in mid air, and a giant hologram of the General peers at them from above the intersection.
The General is quadriplegic, is hooked up to a computer system that controls a robot army, and he's obsessed with finding the family of the previous head-of-state, so as to eliminate them.
A mystic old Japanese man has taken a special interest in Pepe. He keeps showing up at just the right time to save their skins.

"Books this good usually don't show up on my radar... Excellent nerd sci fi totally deserving your money." -- Ezekiel Carsella at Books N Tech
"Pepe was an action packed ride that I enjoyed from start to finish. Mr. Charters has a way of creating a near future in exquisite detail, and I felt like that really made the story." -- Paige Boggs at Effectively Paige
Customer Reviews
His best one so far
Of all of his books, I think this is Robby's best one. It's got it all, suspense, impossible situations, all the characters all doing their part, a lot of sub plots on the way to a glorious finale. Very high tech and futuristic, and a satisfying read.
