The deaths of two seemingly healthy individuals under highly unusual circumstances in widely separated areas of the country bear striking, yet singularly bizarre similarities. Dr. Jennifer Augustine, an RCMP forensic scientist, teams up with OPP Detective. Ethan Morris to carry out the investigation. The body count climbs when the remains of two young men are found in a near by clearing, executed gangland style. On the strength of a Crimestoppers tip, an OPP officer pulls over a van in a quiet rural area in central Ontario and makes a ghastly discovery that adds a new dimension to the probe for truth. Relentlessly dogged by a psychopathic killer, the treacherous investigative journey is complicated by a complex international human trafficking syndicate, deception and corporate greed. Dr. Augustine and Detective Morris soon realize that it will sap every ounce of their combined experience and ingenuity to survive the investigation and uncover the horrific truth.
