A Rollercoaster of a novel
I must admit I wasn’t sure where this book was going at first. It felt like it was sending me in all directions and I didn’t know what path I was on. Kate , who is the main character is not likeable but she is an enigma and I wanted to know why and how she became this enigma. There are lots of sensitive issues and it sometimes is hard to read. I was quite surprised with the twist at the end . Enjoy
Kate isn’t the person you imagined!
Firstly the cover artwork is great - modern and attention grabbing.
This isn’t my typical reading genre and it did take me out of my comfort zone. Although a little over descriptive in places, especially the hedonistic chapters which left nothing to the imagination, the story itself was intriguing. Kate goes from being confident to crushed and her journey is emotional for the reader and the book ends on a shocking cliffhanger.
Worth a read (unless you are easily offended as it does have some dark and sensitive chapters)
Sexy, tormented and dangerous
Great first book from Rob Dixon. A slow burner whilst the background is set for Kate’s life to take a dark, twisted and deadly turn. This book touches on some often considered taboo subjects and ends with a real twist setting it up nicely for a prequel where I have no doubt we can expect more risqué writing
