Queen Lucia

E F Benson was born in 1867, his most famous works are considered to be the Mapp and Lucia series, three of which were made into a televison series for Channel 4. The series was set in fictional Tilling based on Rye, East Sussex where Benson lived for many years. The stories are around three central characters, Mis Mapp who rents her property to Lucia who is always throwing Italian words into her conversations, Lucia has a friend Georgie who is mild mannered and effeminate and at the same time outrageous.
