This mid-19th-century book gives a history of Europeans' encounters with Native Americans in the Ohio River Valley. Covering the span of the 17th and 18th centuries, it includes descriptions of several notable incidents that took place during the settlement of Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.
