Red Rock Racket

In the Far North of New Zealand, an inquisitive young man searches for some inherited land in Honeymoon Valley, but is thwarted by those who don't want him to find the land because they are illicitly mining it for 'red rock'. A series of predicaments follow, including kidnapping and imprisonment, but his cunning and tenacity wins out. Action-packed and highly-paced, this novel is a 'Boys Own' adventure thriller and an enjoyable easy-read. In addition, the story diverts whenever a tractor is featured, to discuss this type of tractor's role in farming in New Zealand, giving an historical perspective to the book.
