America's Founding Fathers believed that all men are created equal by God. They believed that each of us is endowed by God with the unalienable rights to life, liberty and property and to pursue happiness in accordance with the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God. They believed that good government existed within a perfect heirarchy: God is over men and men are over government. They created a constitutional republic of limited powers subject to the consent of the governed. The writings in this book explain the origins of those ideas. They are the original writings from the Bible, our Founding Fathers, and from more modern statesmen and writers as they examine America's founding principles. These writings form the blueprint for America's Heritage of Freedom. If liberty is to survive in 21st Century America it will be because we the people relearn these foundational principles.
