This work discusses the North-West rebellion and the story of Louis Riel from the viewpoint of Charles Arkoll Boulton who served with the 100th regiment and helped personally organize a group of volunteers to try and put down Louis Riel and his rebellion. Boulton was briefly taken captive by Riel and the Métis.
